All that rain and all that wind; all those tears and all those sighs.I know they’re crying for me, screaming at me and hissing in harsh whispers at me but I can’t seem to register them.“You’re playing with fire girl” but I just smile and wave a dismissing hand for what does it really matter? Fire is pretty, fire is fun and warm and full of dancing light.“But it will burn the hand that touches it twice.”And so what if this is the second time, what does it matter to me now?“Use your head!” But what is rationality now? What power does it hold when reality is slipping so very far away? And the cold rain continues to fall, in sheets that drench me where I stand. And the biting wind slaps at me, trying to drive home some wisdom I will never command. So I dance, and I sing, with arms thrown open wide.“Now you laugh, but soon you’ll cry again, for yet another time.”Have a bit of wine bodiless whispers, loosen up for once. I don’t care; couldn’t care less about damages that could never be undone.“Oh yes you do, your guns are raised, half of the self preparing to battle the other. And though you lie, and fiercely deny, you know this time, we’re right.”Piffle I say!And it all strikes amusement in me, laughter light and free. And when was the last time I laughed? Come on, I’ll give you three guesses. Let the battle commence I cry, the results should be interesting. And a lesson in life taught once you see, isn’t very firm at all.“You’re playing with fire; you’re going to get…”burned burned burned. Hush now.And the rain keeps falling, and the wind still sighs, and I shiver where I stand, soaked to the bone. But like I said, I don’t really care, I’ve never cared you see. Happiness spun from fragile gold means more to me than good sense. So I take the golden thread and needle in hand, and begin the intricate web.

Beautifully nihilistic I'm stunned.

Damn, Cala...your writing is...ummm...amazing. I was actually going to say something on the "Listen to the Rain" one, but since this one's already at the top, I'll say it here. "Enemies too often become lovers you know." Greatest line I've read in...a long time. And yeah, "Preachin' to the Fire" gave me chills. Cheers to you.

My Cala. That is very insightful. And I might add stunningly written. I hope you continue in your writing. It's hard to believe it could get any better, but if it does, WOW.
